Claude brings everyday apps into conversational AI
Anthropic is extending Claude’s reach into people’s daily lives by adding personal app connectors for services like Spotify, Uber Eats, Audible, Instacart, TurboTax, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, and more. Where Claude previously focused heavily on work-related integrations, these new connectors let the assistant pull in and act on information from the apps you use for entertainment, travel, shopping, and taxes.
The practical upside is immediate: once you connect an app, Claude can recommend or use it contextually inside a chat. Planning a hike? Claude can suggest routes using AllTrails. Need to order dinner? It can surface Uber Eats options. Doing year-end finances? TurboTax can be invoked for tax-related steps. The assistant proposes relevant connected apps automatically, making multi-step tasks faster and more natural.
Users stay in control: apps must be explicitly connected and permissions granted, so you choose what Claude can access. Anthropic’s move follows similar efforts by other platforms but expands the ecosystem of consumer services available to Claude users, increasing its day-to-day usefulness without sacrificing user choice.
