ChatGPT becomes more interactive
OpenAI is launching a new Intelligent UI feature for ChatGPT that allows the chatbot to answer questions with more than text. Instead of only writing explanations, ChatGPT can now include diagrams, charts, forms, tappable buttons, and other interactive elements in its responses.
The feature is arriving alongside GPT-6 and is designed to help ChatGPT choose the best format for a user’s request. For example, a question about how a seven-speed bicycle works could be answered with a labeled diagram and interactive controls that highlight different parts of the system.
This is a meaningful step toward AI tools that are easier to use and understand. Visual and interactive responses can make complicated topics more approachable, especially for learning, troubleshooting, planning, and comparing information.
- More clarity: Diagrams and charts can communicate ideas faster than long explanations.
- More action: Buttons and forms can help users move from asking to doing.
- Broader usefulness: Rolling the feature out to all users brings richer AI interactions to a wide audience.
