Anthropic is giving Claude a major productivity boost with the launch of Docs and Slides, two new tools designed to help users create documents and presentations directly through Claude conversations.
The update means people can move from brainstorming to a polished draft without jumping between multiple apps. Documents and slide decks created with Claude can be exported, edited, and shared, making the assistant more useful for real workplace collaboration.
A simpler, more unified Claude
Anthropic is also combining regular Claude chats and its Cowork experience into what it calls “one Claude.” Instead of choosing separate modes, users will be able to access productivity tools such as Docs, Slides, Artifacts, and Claude Design from a single chat interface.
- Docs: Create and refine written materials with AI assistance.
- Slides: Build presentation drafts faster from natural-language prompts.
- Unified chat: Let Claude decide which tools best support the task at hand.
This is a positive step for AI-powered work: rather than just answering questions, Claude is becoming a more capable partner for turning ideas into usable deliverables. While it is an incremental product expansion rather than a scientific breakthrough, it could meaningfully improve day-to-day productivity for many professionals and teams.
